Kristin Stensgard, MS, LPC-IT, SAC-IT has been employed by Kenosha Human Development Services (KHDS) in various roles since 2008. She had worked as Case Manager to homeless mothers and their children assisting families in obtaining permanent housing and developing skills to increase independence and self-sufficiency. She worked in the KHDS Mental Health & Substance Abuse Resource Center as Information and Assistance Specialist where she conducted mental health and substance abuse assessments while assisting individuals in accessing services and community resources. Kristin is now a Licensed Therapist for KHDS Behavioral Health Clinic providing therapy to Victims of Crime through the Victims of Crime ACT Program (VOCA). She provides therapy to adults, children and families who have experienced trauma. She also presently serves as Volunteer Project Coordinator for Selah Freedom, a national organization that confronts the issue of sex trafficking. She is working alongside a dynamite team to help open a Wisconsin safe home for survivors coming out of sex trafficking.
